1.8m is the length you want if you've ever found yourself crouching on a 1.2m lead to keep your dog comfortable. For taller handlers (over 175cm), tall dogs, or dogs who naturally walk a stride ahead, the extra length transforms the walking experience without ever crossing into long-line territory.

Six feet of room. Loop the slack in your hand for street walking and you've effectively got a 1.2m lead; let it all out for relaxed park strolls and you've got proper sniff-room. One lead, multiple lengths.

Q: Is 1.8m too long for everyday walking?

Not if you handle the slack — gather the lead into loops in your hand for close control near roads or other dogs, then let it out for relaxed walks. Most owners adjust within a walk or two.

Q: Who benefits most from a 1.8m lead?

Tall handlers (175cm+), tall dogs, dogs who walk a half-stride ahead, and anyone who finds 1.2m always feels a bit short. Also great for owners who like to walk with one hand in a pocket and the lead in the other.

Q: Should I get the single-colour 1.8m or the two-tone 1.8m?

Same lead, same length, same length-management benefits. Two-tone gives you visual interest and lets you mix two colours; single-colour is cleaner and slightly cheaper. Personal preference.
