Plush Puppy Body Building Shampoo helps boost coats wanting or needing a fuller and thicker appearance!

The absolute answer in dog shampoo for volume, this shampoo does have enormous lift and a bodifying effect to the coat without an artificial feel.  It is also beneficial to the coat as it is primarily naturally derived and infused with beneficial plant extracts. Body Building Shampoo is bolstered by Wheat Protein and Wheat Starch with D-Panthenol and Lichen extract.

It will give the appearance of a naturally thicker and fuller coat and can be used on the whole dog or just in areas requiring extra lift or body. It gives you the profuse, dense coat and will bodify a coat when there isn’t enough coat.

Designed specifically for full coated breeds such as Poodles, Old English Sheepdogs and excellent for double coated breeds after shedding including  Malamutes and Samoyeds, but can be used on any coat that needs lift.

It will not flatten or soften the coat.

As with all shampoos, take care not to get near or in the eyes. Use Plush Puppy Lets Face It no tear formula shampoo to clean faces.

Suitable | Plush Puppy Body Building Shampoo is ideal for all colours and coat types that desire a fuller coat appearance. Will not flatten or soften. Improves overall volume and slightly adds texture and crispness to all coats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does Body Building Shampoo actually do?
A: It lifts and bodifies the coat, giving fine, soft, or "not enough coat" a fuller, thicker, more profuse look. Think volume without the fake, crunchy feel — it's boosted with Wheat Protein, Wheat Starch, D-Panthenol, and Lichen extract to work with your dog's natural coat rather than coat it in product.

Q: Will it flatten or soften my dog's coat?
A: No — it's the opposite job to a conditioning shampoo. Body Building Shampoo is designed to add lift, texture, and crispness, not soften things down.

Q: What coat types and breeds is it best for?
A: It's brilliant on full-coated breeds like Poodles and Old English Sheepdogs, and great for double-coated breeds that need a boost after shedding season, like Malamutes and Samoyeds. That said, any coat wanting extra lift or body can benefit — it works on all colours and coat types.

Q: Can I use it on just one area, or does it have to be the whole dog?
A: Either way. You can bathe the whole dog for all-over volume, or spot-treat just the areas that need extra lift or fullness — handy for shaping specific parts of the coat before a show.

Q: How do I use it?
A: Wet the coat thoroughly, apply and massage until it lathers, then rinse well.

Q: What's the dilution rate?
A: 1 part shampoo to 5 parts water (1:5).

Q: Can I use it at home, or does it need to be done at a salon?
A: Both — it's suited to home baths, salon baths, and hydrobaths.

Q: Is it safe near my dog's face and eyes?
A: Take care to keep it away from the eyes, as with any shampoo. For the face, use Plush Puppy's Let's Face It no-tear formula instead.

Q: What sizes does it come in?
A: 500ml, 1L, and 5L (the 5L comes without a pump).

Q: How often can I use it?
A: It's gentle enough for regular use as part of your grooming routine, though many groomers use it strategically — for example, in the lead-up to a show when extra volume and definition are wanted.
